It has been far too long since we visited the turn of the century village, so today as part of our ministry, we ventured out to Indian Rocks where we enjoyed an ice cold soda, fellowship & worship… Enjoy the shots below, we had a blast putting this pictorial together for you to share in the moment.

Paradise Found?

Rosemary Beach is a neo-traditional town located on northwest Florida’s gulf coast, between Panama City and Destin, at the eastern end of Scenic Route 30A.  Easily accessible by air or by car, the town is a 30-minute drive from the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport and a one-hour drive from the Fort Walton Beach Okaloosa Airport.

The Rosemary Beach Land Company and President Patrick Bienvenue had a vision they wanted to share with the world.  In 1995, that vision became a reality and Rosemary Beach was born.  Rosemary Beach Land Company’s development plan is founded in the principles of New Urbanism and Traditional Neighborhood Development.  Inspired by other classic beach towns, the 107-acre, gulf-front town of Rosemary Beach was designed to bring back the notions of community, neighborhood and convenience.

In other words, this slice of heaven on earth offers residents the opportunity to live and work in paradise.

In their search for paradise, people often travel to the far corners of the earth, only to come up empty-handed.  In reality, paradise is a lot closer than most people think.  Long stretches of pristine beaches made up of the brightest of white sands.  Refreshing breezes blowing off the waters of the Gulf of Mexico.  The peace and tranquility of gently lapping surf, singing gulls and sandpipers.  These are things that have been quietly awaiting discovery in a section of Florida’s panhandle.  These are the ingredients that make up the town Rosemary Beach–paradise found.

Residents of Rosemary Beach are lucky to not only live and work here, but also to have the opportunity to play here.  When work is finished and the rest of the errands can wait, Rosemary Beach is the perfect location for a vacation.  Mild year-round temperatures, yet still a change of season; spectacular beaches free from crowds; the natural beauty of a beach-side destination located on a designated scenic road; aesthetically-pleasing architecture and award-winning, expertly-designed layout; convenient and quaint town center, amenities such as tennis courts, pools, dune walkovers to the beach and lots of green areas in which to relax; these are the qualities of the new paradise of Rosemary Beach.

Earlier today I shot a wedding that truly moved me in ways very few wedding can, and have. My expectations were so high, in such an opulent venue I could only imagine the way the night was going to down – downhill fast made possible by a vast, fully stocked with top brands, wide open bar representing chaos for everyone present.

Nope. Nothing. Not a single misconduct penalty! Except of course for the bride who got lovingly tipsy off a half flute of Champagne after eating next to nothing all day…

A solid brand of Christians put together an amazingly clean wedding where there was in fact, an open bar!

The character of the people present matched by the extraordinary professionalism displayed by the resort staff turned an event headed for disaster, into a truly blessed wedding I thank God almighty for being a part of.

My first photo opp at the Don Cesar was in 2002 if I recall, when I was blown away with the magnitude of the place considering its prime location along the Tampa Bay, overlooking downtown St Petersburg, FL.

If you know anything about me, then you’re aware of my love affair with auto racing. I don’t care much for boats, or bikes, or other types of racing as much as I do NASCAR. Every single racing event I attend starts out with a prayer, to God, in reverence and worship of Jesus, the Christ.

Today, I rolled the dice on a new mission field, the American Le Mans Series which I assumed would host a similar crown to the Daytona 300 or 500 races, right? I could not have been more off. I quickly realized Sebring Raceway was not the ideal place to preach, pass out bibles or Christian tracts…

I praise God my daughters and wife were not present at the track, where pure evil reigned over purity. God spoke to me while at the track, and He revealed a plan by which His voice will be heard next year, and His word will continue to resonate loudly thereafter, for His glory.

The bride, Cameron, a 2nd grade school teacher and her groom, Ben, a young man of vibrant energy both spoke vows to love, and cherish and honer each other as they abide by the word of God and strive to advance His gospel through all means available to them.

The weather held up just long enough today to keep my Lange Farm record to 100% dry in spite of a few close calls, this one certainly being one of them.

Add delicious appetizers and an amazing Fillet Mignon entree to an already extraordinary venue and you have the perfect recipe for an amazing wedding.

I truly praise God for the opportunity to document Cameron and Ben’s wedding day at the Lange Farm, and I am grateful I was hired to shoot Cameron’s sister, Heather’s wedding as a result of the breathtaking coverage I provided at this wedding spectacular event, which took place at one of my favorite spots in the region, the Lange Farm in Dade City, FL.

If you find yourself contemplating the “farm” for your wedding, do so confidently knowing it ranks highly not only on my list, but on that of many wedding designers/coordinators throughout Central Florida.

Today, we were first headed to Daytona International Speedway, where the good old boys (and gals) were having a duel… NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series qualifying type duels that is. We made certain to use the old mini-van as a billboard, for God’s glory! More people lifted up praises to the Lord with their horns than we could count! The girls loves it… :)

After we had our fill of roaring engines, high octane fuel and burning rubber, we drove on passed A1A, straight to the Atlantic ocean where we turned left and cruised for honks for a while. what a complete turn around than 20 years ago when I was spreading profanity rather than praise…

Enjoy the shots! We sure give praise to God for the road trip, and memories to last a lifetime and beyond…

The bride, a young woman of true beauty, both on the inside and out, spoke traditional Christian vows to her beau, Craig, also a young man of strong, obvious faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The wedding took place at Englewood’s Historic Green Street Church, a fairytale wedding location I will never forget. The white, 200 year old wooden chapel is the perfect setting for smaller weddings.

Conveniently nested among a residential neighborhood only a few minutes from the Gulf beaches, the Historic Green Street Church has to be the smallest venue I can remember shooting, however what it lacks in size the church certainly makes up in originality and historical flair.

Without a doubt this location will be at the top of my list when discussing smaller venues with my clients for years to come. If you find yourself contemplating a the Historic Green Street Church in Englewood, FL, do hire a photographer with prior experience at this extraordinary location since this is by no means an easy place to successfully photograph. Trust me, I’ve been there!
