Heather & Jason’s Wedding Day, Rosemary Beach, FL

Since getting started back in 1985 I have been blessed to shoot more beach weddings than I can count. Somehow, earlier today I was blown away with the most spectacular beach I’ve seen in over a decade…

Paradise Found?

Rosemary Beach is a neo-traditional town located on northwest Florida’s gulf coast, between Panama City and Destin, at the eastern end of Scenic Route 30A.  Easily accessible by air or by car, the town is a 30-minute drive from the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport and a one-hour drive from the Fort Walton Beach Okaloosa Airport.

The Rosemary Beach Land Company and President Patrick Bienvenue had a vision they wanted to share with the world.  In 1995, that vision became a reality and Rosemary Beach was born.  Rosemary Beach Land Company’s development plan is founded in the principles of New Urbanism and Traditional Neighborhood Development.  Inspired by other classic beach towns, the 107-acre, gulf-front town of Rosemary Beach was designed to bring back the notions of community, neighborhood and convenience.

In other words, this slice of heaven on earth offers residents the opportunity to live and work in paradise.

In their search for paradise, people often travel to the far corners of the earth, only to come up empty-handed.  In reality, paradise is a lot closer than most people think.  Long stretches of pristine beaches made up of the brightest of white sands.  Refreshing breezes blowing off the waters of the Gulf of Mexico.  The peace and tranquility of gently lapping surf, singing gulls and sandpipers.  These are things that have been quietly awaiting discovery in a section of Florida’s panhandle.  These are the ingredients that make up the town Rosemary Beach–paradise found.

Residents of Rosemary Beach are lucky to not only live and work here, but also to have the opportunity to play here.  When work is finished and the rest of the errands can wait, Rosemary Beach is the perfect location for a vacation.  Mild year-round temperatures, yet still a change of season; spectacular beaches free from crowds; the natural beauty of a beach-side destination located on a designated scenic road; aesthetically-pleasing architecture and award-winning, expertly-designed layout; convenient and quaint town center, amenities such as tennis courts, pools, dune walkovers to the beach and lots of green areas in which to relax; these are the qualities of the new paradise of Rosemary Beach.

Breath Taking Beach Wedding at Sunset, over Treasure Island, FL

7/7 was a very popular date for weddings this year.

Wedding Photographer, Treasure Island, FLI received numerous requests for wedding photography coverage for that day, and planned on being a blessing to someone rather than go for the highest bidder.

God answered my prayers today when I was honored to captured the beach wedding of Joyce & Jeff, shortly before sunset on Treasure Island Beach.

The venue was superb, Sunset Vistas’ large outdoor deck is ideal for family gatherings, casual weddings and parties.

Located on the beach, Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites is the perfect destination for a memorable beach wedding and it delivered once again today, praises to God for a wonderful, extraordinary beach wedding!

Jennifer and Steve’s Wedding at the First United Methodist Church of Dade City

Another typical church wedding turned extraordinary earlier today when I was blessed to document the wedding of Jennifer and Steve Long at the First United Methodist Church in Dade City, FL.

For starters, Dade City is picturesque enough on its own. Then as if an anointed church was not enough, both the bride and groom turned out to be spiritual examples for a whole new generation to learn from.

God’s plan for today not only included a phenomenal couple and their guests, our divine Father’s will turned out some of the most incredible church exterior shots I ever captured in photographs at a wedding.

I thank the Lord for such phenomenal photo opportunities and for the unraveling on His plan for my life as a wedding photographer. Today at the First United Methodist Church of Dade City, I came face to face with a wave of creativity made possibly by, of all things the weather and a building.

If you are contemplating having your wedding at the First United Methodist Church in Dade City, FL then don’t hesitate to book your date ASAP since this church is typically booked 2 years in advance during their busy months which are spring and fall.

Mission Monday at Disney’s Hollywood Studios & EPCOT

Another week started with a bang, for God’s glory. A busy, early work Monday gave way to a pleasant mid-afternoon drive to Disney through the back roads of the sunshine state, as Faith and Trinity napped, and Grace had school with Elizabeth in the back of the van…

Today the Lord led the girls and I to Disney’s Hollywood Studios as well as EPCOT, where we continued to pour out God’s love through sidewalk chalk, in designated areas (we’re not vandals!) and by reminding Disney phone operators that “Jesus loves them!”

We snapped a few shots along the way, and are glad to share the joy with you…

Mission Monday at Pine Island Park, Spring Hill, FL

Today we were blessed to discover a new mission field, Pine Island Park in Spring Hill, FL. Less than 45 minutes from our driveway, this secluded location has everything we need to fulfill our mission to advance the gospel to the four corners of the earth.

First, the park has a beach. Then, a playground. Pine Island Park also has parking for only $2 after 4pm, which suits our napping schedule just fine. Showers, clean bathrooms and a cafe make this park the perfect location for just about anyone – except sexual predators, since local convicts have their pictures posted on a board by the bathrooms… :)

Here are a few shots from a very special, purpose driven day… enjoy!
